This one started from the need. How much power is required to cover 100% of the site’s heating, and which source meets this most simply?

Flow analysis identified the annealing lehr. However, several hundred meters separate it from the area to be heated. Over such a distance, hot air would require oversized pipes, whereas water is much easier to transport. This led to the choice of TURBOSOL® CHP: it provides hot water for the heating network and produces electricity, which improves the project’s economic balance.

HEVATECH handles the study, installation, and financing, with no initial investment for the site. The machine, sized for this requirement, generates 40 kWe and 700 kWth. The module assembly is nearly complete, and industrial commissioning is scheduled for late 2026.

Thank you to ALLICE and CETIAT for the organization and to Emmanuel B. for this joint presentation.

Were you unable to attend the Lyon event and are interested in the subject?
